Reggae Roast Jamdown on Saturday 10th November 2012

After a busy summer of shows in front of packed crowds at festivals home and abroad, Reggae Roast return to Plan B, Brixton on Saturday 10th November for another exciting Jamdown Session. This time they are thrilled to be joined by the MBE awardee, World Cup Clash Champion and quite simply the biggest name in British Reggae - David Ram Jam Rodigan.. Playing alongside Rodigan on the night will be host of the most exciting DJs around showcasing the rich heritage and new vitality of the British Reggae movement.

The Reggae Roast Jamdown sessions are famous for showcasing the best dubwise acts from across the globe at Plan B, arguably South Londons best club venue. With an EXTRA 10K OF BASS being added to the already massive Funktion-One sound system (just for this event) cheap & tasty cocktails (supplied by Wray And Nephews) and an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, there is no reason to miss this very special night.

DAVID RODIGAN - For over 30 years David Rodigan has been the top dog in the ganja-scented, bass heavy-atmosphere of Britains reggae dance-halls. The Kiss FM DJs credibility was ensured when he began clashing with Jamaicas champion DJ, Barry G on JBC Radio in Jamaica before going on to clash with all the top sound systems the world over, building a formidable reputation has he went. His reputation recently climaxed when earlier this year he was crowned World Cub Clash Champion beating every other sound system from around the world, and bringing the crown home to the UK.

DJ SHEPDOG (NICE UP RECORDS) - The Mighty Shepdog, with his righteous party vibes, is the man behind the hugely popular NICE UP! label & club night and responsible for some of the biggest reggae mash-ups in the recent years. Tunes such as Bigger Than Jamrock, Skanking In The Way Of Control and Dare Man have proved popular with DJs across the globe and have earned Shep a reputation as one of Londons best DJs

ADAM PRESCOTT + ALPHA STEPPA (BACK 2 BACK SET) - Son and nephew of respected dub heavyweights Alpha and Omega, Alpha Steppa has been surrounded by soundsystem culture from a young age. Now a talented producer in his own right, his productions connect the dots between the music which he has grown up around and the new generation of UK bass music of which he is a part. Adam Prescott, Reggae Roast Records new signing is arguably the hottest new Digi-Dub producer of his generation, combining a crucial selections of rough and tough roots music with a modern injection of dubstep working with the like sof Charlie P, Kenny Knots, Brother Culture, Daddy Freddy, Dynamite MC, Mungos Hi-Fi + Solo Banton to name a few..

As always Reggae Roast and MCs will be on hand with the support of Rompas Reggae Shack, a killer combination bringing strictly the roughest and toughest selections every time. The night will be hosted by Ramon Judah and Clapper Priest two of the best MC / Singers in the industry who always bring something special to the Reggae Roast dance.

ROOM 2 Back for the third time in the Basement are the incredible Unit 137, with their full crew, made up of some of the most exciting Vocalists, Instrumentalists and Selectors on the London music scene, alongside their earth-shattering sound system Expect to hear exclusive after exclusive, original productions as well as all the releases currently out on their label.
