Your host with the absolute most JAZZHEADCHRONIC serving up a dancefloor direct set of funk, soul, disco, jazz, hop, brass and way beyond - alongside one of France’s leading funked up eclectic bands. Talking about the relentless stage storming brass driven collective that are the OLD SCHOOL FUNKY FAMILY (LIVE) + more across 3 jumping rooms at OMEARA London.

ROOM 1 - OLD SCHOOL FUNKY FAMILY (LIVE) - Band on stage around 1230am.

For 14 years, the Old School Funky Family have shown their groove on stages and festivals of France. We can hear them playing in the street, but on stage they are in their own element: with relentless rhythms and original arrangements for saxophone quartet, their music takes on another dimension. The instrumental octet known for their own signature style: – Classic American Funk mixed with Nigerian Afrobeat and Jazz that showcases improvisation and interactivity.The Old School Funky Family shared a lot of stages and festivals (Portal at Roulette, Altxerri, Scene Bastille, Atabal) and festivals (Black & Basque EHZ, Jazz à Luz, Jazzaldia, Jazz dans le Bocage, Jazz à Oloron, Nuits de Nacre. ..) with among others Bibi Tanga, Tete, Alice Russell & Quantic or Angelique Kidjo, Hot Eight Brass Band, Magma!

Then In ROOM 2 [and not to be outdone] - Let the Funk, Soul, Disco and Boogie Mercilessly Flow as your ROOM 2 hosts the legendary PERRY LOUIS (Jazzcotech) & AITCH B (Soul II Soul / Soul 360) drop the absolute finest on vinyl direct to the torch lit dancefloor and the whole of yoh soul. Cue Soul Explosion - time for another red hot dancefloor session in funked up soul.

The South London Soul Train line up completed in the newly renovated ROOM 3 - Where it’s all about too damn hot SLST residents - Mukatsuku records founder, the outstanding NIK WESTON and Mighty KEITH LAWRENCE, here to take you on another sublime gloablistic Safari across planet groove. Hunting down the tunes that absolutely still matter and setting em on yehs. Beautifully savagely, all night long!

The South London Soul Train (as always) All rooms, taking all passengers on a Non-Stop Magical Mystery Tour through all things Too Damn Funky. P-Funk to Jazz Funk, Soul Jazz to Rare Groove N’ Stax, Brass, Breaks, Bop and Hop to Motown, Club Classics and Anthems.

However - Passengers are requested to check their Souls at the Station as this one's for good time party people only! No Bass Wobbles Here, Only Love, Funk and Souuuuuuuul.
