Beneath The Tracks: LCV Choir with Manu Delago, Hunrosa, BeatFox on Monday 2nd October 2017

London's leading alternative choir will be joined by hang drum virtuoso Manu Delago, collaborator of Björk and Anoushka Shankar, plus electronic music producer Hunrosa (Cinematic Orchestra), marrying heavy bass, lush strings and soaring vocals. Plus the audience will also be treated to a blindfolded beatbox set from UK vice-champion BeatFox and immersive, surround-sound performances from London Contemporary Voices. Sets from Hrím (haunting Icelandic vocals meet dark electronica), Elimarit (Jazz-infused Norwegian folk) and Autumnmusic (ambient beats and poetic vocals) will complete the lineup.

Enjoy immersive surround-sound sets in this shabby atmospheric space beneath the rail arches. This is the second night hosted by LCV following a sellout show in May.

Doors: 7pm Starts: 7:30pm Ends: 10:30pm

Manu Delago: Austrian hang drum player, perscussionist and composer Manu Delago is perhaps best known for his collaborations with Björk and Grammy-nomininated sitar player Anoushka Shankar. Widely regarded as one of the world's most skilled percussionists his music occupies a dynamic space where electronic beats are combined with unusual acoustic instruments such as Hang and bassoon.

Hunrosa: Sam Vicary from Cinematic Orchestra plays on the juxtaposition of modern electronic music and the beauty of acoustic instruments whilst maintaining a focus on songwriting and pure music. There features homages to ambient/electronic producers, late 60’s psychedelic jazz artists and romantic classical music.

BeatFox: One of the country's top beatboxers, BeatFox has worked with numerous urban and pop artists as well as acquiring a huge international following on YouTube. Known for his superhuman sub low bass tones and robotic whistles, BeatFox will be treating our Omeara audience to a unique blindfolded set!

Hrím: Jon Hopkins' collaborator Cherif Hashizume joins Icelandic folk vocalist Ösp Eldjarn and LCV's founder Anil Sebastian. Electronic beats fuse with Indian-tinged guitar and haunting Icelandic vocals, creating epic soundscapes likened to Sigur Rós, Björk and Mogwai.

Elimarit: Norwegian jazz vocalist Marit Rokeborg occupies the space between jazz and folk, performing both unaccompanied and with classical guitar. Think Eva Cassidy meets Susanne Sundfor and Kings Of Convenience.

Autumn Music: Layered vocals and ambient beats. Singer-songwriter Rosi Croom floats her unique form of poetic storytelling over a lush bed of beats and synths, with nods to Imogen Heap, Portishead and James Blake.

London Contemporary Voices: London's leading alternative choir, known for its unique takes on popular and leftfield music, as well as collaborations with over 50 artists. The choir has worked with 11 Grammy nominees an artists including Alt-J, Imogen Heap, Laura Mvula, James Bay, Sam Smith and Basement Jaxx. Recent highlights include performing at the BBC Proms in the Royal Albert Hall with The Heritage Orchestra, Jarvis Cocker, John Grant and Susanne Sundfor; recording on Elbow's UK No. 1 Album Little Fictions and working with Imogen Heap on the soundtrack to the stage play Harry Potter & The Cursed Child.

Beneath The Tracks: BTT Vol. II follows a sell-out show at Omeara in May. The nights are hosted by London Contemporary Voices, a diverse range of musicians and vocalists who together form one of the country's best loved choirs. The gigs showcase the rich and eclectic range of artists within the choir's community as well as treating audiences to unique guest collaborations. The choir performs immersive surround-sound sets in this atmospheric space beneath the rail arches - some of which may be blindfolded!
