Burn Down The Disco - The Smiths: Strangeways 30th Anniversary on Saturday 9th September 2017

This month sees the 30th anniversary of The Smiths’ final album, Strangeways, Here We Come. The band had already split by the time of it’s release so there was no accompanying tour. Sadly, we can’t get the Smiths back together but we can play every track from the album as well as tons of other Moz & Marr classics to mark it’s birthday.

Tracks from the LP include Girlfriend In A Coma, Stop Me If You Think You’ve Heard This One Before, Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me, A Rush & A Push & The Land Is Ours, I Started Something I Couldn’t Finish and, appropriately, Unhappy Birthday. But you can expect any Smiths song from any album or single to be dropped at any time!

We’ll also have Smiths visuals and maybe even a bit of Moz colouring in fun too.

This will be our last Smiths or Morrissey themed night of the year so quiff your hair and mope about with your bouquet of Gladiolas for one last time in 2017.

Music Policy

As well as tons of The Smiths you can also expect to hear the likes of Pulp, The Cure, David Bowie, Joy Division, Blondie, Blur, Interpol, The Strokes, Suede, Pixies, New Order, Kate Bush, The Libertines, Radiohead, Depeche Mode, Arctic Monkeys and loads more stuff that you’ll instantly recognise and want to shake a leg to.

Door Policy

Quiff your hair, don your specs and bring your gladiolas.

Music Genres:

60s, Alternative, Indie, Rock & Roll, Ska
