On a Dark Summer's Night on Friday 5th July 2019

Dream -team The Lounge 666: Keeping the scene alive., Ben Christo & Nambucca have joined forces to bring you:

DIAMOND BLACK - 'The Scarlet' single launch show

'Aggressive, emotive, seductive and compelling, Diamond Black are forerunners in a new era of dark rock.'

'Razor-sharp riffs, ethereal soundscapes, emotive and searing melodies... turn up and listen on repeat!' - MARK GEMINI THWAITE, THE MISSION?

'Stunning… one of the most exciting new bands I’ve heard in years.” – MICHAEL MCKEEGAN, THERAPY?

Founded by Ben Christo (guitarist of The Sisters of Mercy), Diamond Black deliver crushing riffs, mesmerising electronica & cinematic choruses. Inspired by the heaviness of Katatonia, the torment of Korn, the passion of Depeche Mode, the haunting soundscapes of Type O Negative and the anthemic quality of The Cult, Diamond Black weave tangled tales of desire, decadence and devotion.

Debut single ‘Sorrow’ premiered on in October 2017 to great acclaim: hailed and shared by members of Rob Zombie, rotated on Scuzz TV and featured in Bass Guitar Magazine. ‘Ghost in the Glass’ followed in 2018, garnering near 140,000 Spotify plays.

In June 2019, Diamond Black signed a worldwide deal with the legendary Cargo/Livewire Records. Current single, ‘The Scarlet’ is the band’s first release with the label, revealing a more introspective side to Diamond Black whilst maintaining their signature haunting, heartfelt heaviness.

'J-rock rife with pyrotechnical guitar licks and contagious melodies that grab listeners viscerally, refusing to let go.' - HUFFPOST

'A truly unique sound, a unique spirit and they sound absolutely enormous.' - ALEX BAKER, KERRANG! RADIO

Award-winning and featured on BBC Radio, Louder, and Kerrang! Radio, Esprit D’Air reformed in 2016 as Kai’s solo project; receiving a cult following across the world with their critically-acclaimed studio album, 'Constellations'.

Their debut album crowned them as winners in the best metal/hardcore album of 2018 by The Independent Music Awards at the Lincoln Center, New York, among an esteemed judging panel featuring Amy Lee (Evanescence), Slayer, Sepultura, Tom Waits, and more.

'Hints of The Cure, Pink Floyd, Bauhaus and Nine Inch Nails... – play them LOUD! - MARTIN FRANK, YORK CALLING

A progressive Rock band based in the UK and formed in 2011, with 3 records released, reviewed by many webzines and magazines all over the EU and numerous airplay from K2KRadio, VirginRock, ClassicRock and Bcfm-Bristol.
