Big Sky Song Presents on Thursday 30th March 2017

The Bulletproof Bomb
The Bulletproof Bomb, a brand new five piece band from greater London. Members - Joel Douglas, Mike Hendry, Thomas Butler, Robbie Cottom and George Thompson. At the age of 18 the band came on to the scene last year and have already built a reputation for their raucous guitar driven sound and explosive live performances.
Originally the band started off as only two of the original members (Joel and Mike) writing and recording demos in their bedroom.
After gaining interest from publishers The Bulletproof Bomb evolved into a five piece set up so they could play their music as a live band.
The band self released two singles last year through Paper Round Records 'Suitcase' and 'Five Green Bottles' which gained unprecedented support from the likes of Zane Lowe and the second single even ended up on the BBC Radio 1 playlist. This lead on to the band landing some great gigs playing the likes of Bestival, Boardmasters and headlining the BBC Introducing stage at Reading & Leeds.

Blue Zoo

Zapping with a stylish swagger from the post-punk scene that defined the early eighties, Blue Zoo always wore their glam influences (and eyeliner) with pride and brought to the table a pop sensibility and uniquely eclectic repertoire of chart hits and critically acclaimed tunes such as, Love Moves in Strangeways, I’m Your Man and Cry Boy Cry. The band was lauded for their live performances, (including support slots for U2 and The Police) full of brash-flash attitude and atmospheric melodrama, which saw them as forerunners to bands like Suede and Mansun in the nineties. Operative,Blue Zoo are back on the beat ‘n’ track with their new single “Funganista. The first in a series of new releases planned for 2017. Original members Andy O (vocals), Mike Ansell (bass) and Micky Sparrow (drums) have teamed up with guitarist, engineer, producer Tom E Morrison and are in the process of recording a stream of new material. OnMarch 25th 2017 Funganista is officially released on Big Sky Song Records, and will be available via the major digital retailers and streaming services.

Loifior

Loifior’sperformance culminates in a supernova of passion, Ecstasy, and euphoria, an unmistakable dance of the four North Germans on stage. Energetic German lyrics accompany reverberating guitars and rhythmic bass to create a Post Punk sound, reminiscent of the New Wave style of the 1980’s. These elements, orchestrated by the bands lead singer, evoke an explosive response from the audience, leaving crowds stunned time after time.

On Friday 24. March 2017 their new EP will be released online iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Google Play, Wimp, Deezer und Napster, and on CD plus two other live tracks. The Release-Party takes place in Hamburg and then their tour through Germany and the UK begins.

The Baker Lee Blues

'Dark and mysterious, The Baker Lee Blues will make you shiver and smile at the same time.'

She Gaze

She Gaze is the solo project from dj and artist Elle Holgate (formerly in psyche-rock band African Queen, and currently one third of electronic trio S.E.T.). Blending old school blues and folk with washed out dream pop her voice has been described as ethereal while her lyrics pull no punchlines. She’ll be performing a stripped back set on the 30th showcasing some new and old material.
