DJ Food at Malt Haus

We're excited to be launching a Walthamstow-incubated collaboration between our venue, Malt Haus, and Perky Blenders, bringing together the best sounds and the best drinks under the moniker 'Jazzy Max'.

At Pillars we have been quietly perfecting the sound in Malt Haus, and are thrilled to be bringing in one of our favourite artists and selectors, DJ Food (Ninja Tune) on the ones and twos for our launch.

DJ Food is a producer, club and radio DJ, graphic designer and writer living in London, UK. Also known as Strictly Kev, he has been involved in the DJ Food project for three decades (once a multi-producer outfit alongside Coldcut and PC) and sole keeper of the flame for over 20 years. As part of Coldcut’s Solid Steel radio show for 25 years, he’s mixed hundreds of hours of audio for radio and compilations using his decades of experience and vast record collection. Expect select cuts and quality tunes from vinyl to your ears.

We'll be serving Perky Blenders' Cold Brew coffee, and Perky powered Espresso Martinis on the night, as well as our Lager (of course), and food from Pretty Boy Tacos. Local fixture Adrian Spurdon on the decks before DJ Food.
