Review of Big Singles Night at Mahiki

The venue was fine, with Mahiki holding quite a nice ambience. The event had no reserved area and we were directed to stand around a crowded bar area with limited seating. The host 'Alex' was pretty useless and seemed more interested in chatting up female guests than introducing attendees to each other. Moreover, everyone appeared to be attending a Meetup event, with no one I met having heard of any 'Big Singles Night'. The men to women ratio was 10:1. Disappointing to say the least.

Might as well have just gone out. All your paying for is a c**ktail and there was no real organization to make sure there was an equal number of men to women. In fact, there were no women and just men. So if you are looking for a singles party, I wouldn't choose this one. Certainly doesn't deliver on its promise. Would happy have a refund if there was an option too.

Definitely would not go again. Although it was slightly entertaining, was a waste of time, majority of the people there were over the age limit!

We ended up starting late because people hadn't turned up on time so it meant we didn't have time for a break mid way and the host had to be strict on timings. I think 4 minutes is quite short, but there was opportunity to talk afterwards. I think the host should gather everyone again at the end as the people who finished the round together actually ended up having more time with each other than the allotted 4 minutes, which i think is unfair. All in all a good night and lots of nice people. Would go again.

This was a new experience, the venue was nice but music and lighting were unsuitable.I was absolutely exhausted at the end after meeting 16 men and talking to each for four minutes.One guy was very creepy and that was the opinions of all the girls as we shared stories in the bathroom.****tails were also very expensive although half price until nine but no one bothered to mention to us and the Mahiki clientele were very snooty.
