London Street Market Walks venue information

Street Market Historian and Best-selling Author Sandra Shevey organises walks around the London markets daily at 11am lasting for 90 mins. The walks include a wide cross-section of London market spanning the West End and East End, and including a special horse market in outer London. Emphasis is given to the city`s remaining `cockney` markets inasmuch as they tell us something about the continuity of working-class life in London.

Sandra Shevey`s walks are special because they not only ferret out some of the remaining architectural bits but draw upon memoirs, old prints/photos to illustrate the flavour of the markets in centuries past.
