About

On Saturday March 22nd the South-West's ace Barefoot Bandit bring their explosion of reggae, dub and world music to Jamboree, with support from Argentinian-Danish singer-songwriter Maru Jota.

Headliners Barefoot Bandit have spread their sounds far and wide with shows at prestigious venues such as the Electric Ballroom, Camden, alongside appearances at Glastonbury Festival, Boardmasters, Boomtown Fair, Beautiful Days and many more, and have supported the liked of Lee "Scratch" Perry, Dub Pistols, Easy Star All-Stars, Gentleman's Dub Club, Horace Panter & Lynval Golding (The Specials), Dreadzone and more. They are also favourites of national DJs David Rodigan on BBC Radio 1 Extra and Craig Charles on BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Introducing. Their long-awaited debut LP ‘Hello Welcome’ was released in 2023.

“People are going crazy for it! A thing of beauty! Excellent Debut album.”- Craig Charles

"Fresh Brit Reggae”- David Rodigan

“The band have built a massive cult audience with their bass-heavy live shows, a supreme fusion of roots reggae, dub, and soulful aspects.”- Clash Magazine

In support, Maru Jota is an Argentinian-Danish singer-songwriter who grew up in Buenos Aires. Bringing a fresh new look at pop, she injects reggae, jazz and an unshakeable positivity into her live set. Maru's second album, 'Nuevos Aires' offers up a new range of outrageously catchy songs.

Jamboree food option: The ‘Arepatoire’ kitchen residency at Jamboree ended on February 16th. A new residency will be announced soon. In the meantime we offer a selection of savoury foods such as quiches and salads.
