Lampiano and Brazil's Band + A Forró Dance Class at Jamboree

A Friday night of brilliant Brazilian music and dance at Jamboree! Lampiano is a fantastic Forró Pé de Serra trio playing hip-swivelling, dancefloor-filling popular music and dance originating in Brazil's north-eastern states. Ines Carvalho also presents a forró dance class for beginners before their their performance to get everyone involved on the dancefloor....

Lampiano are made up of Pamela Fom on vocals and triangle, Jorge Fogo on piano accordion and Marcio Polts on zabumba. And - bringing more groove to the house! - the ace "Brazil's band" will also share the stage with them. Expect a repertoire of originals and classics of forró, lambada, samba, baião, xote, rastapé, xaxado, ijexá, maracatu and others. The trio was born from a friendship of 3 musicians living in UK, a carioca, a londoner and a paulista that got united by the passion for Dominguinhos and Luiz Gonzaga music, having their main inspiration coming from Trio Macaiba and Forró do Piano, bands mixing piano and accordion to their sound.
