Facebook Presents: Beyond the Screen on Monday 22nd October 2018
Facebook presents a series short films which shine a light on the incredible individuals who are using social media to bring about positive change
Facebook presents Beyond the Screen, a series of six short films which shine a light on the incredible individuals who are using social media to bring about positive change in the real world. These are screening at Everyman Cinemas around the UK for free.
Created in collaboration with British filmmakers, the films explore issues that are extremely relevant today, such as the plastic in our oceans, the refugee crisis and period poverty, and often overlooked groups facing their own challenges, such as the deaf rave scene, independent wrestling events, and the lack of diversity in the performing arts.
The six Facebook communities featured in the series are Ballet Black, Bloody Good Period, D+G Eco Warriors, Deaf Rave, Help Refugees and Pro-Wrestling Subjective.
The films will be screened for the public free of charge at Everyman Cinemas between 17 October and 7 November.
