EGG presents: Culoe De Song, Gabriel Ananda, Artbat, D-Unity on Saturday 30th June 2018
A fundamental part of South Africa’s electronic scene, Culoe De Song plays in the Main Room for the first time on June 30th alongside Gabriel Ananda, Artbat, Warm Up's Aidan Doherty and many more.
De Song has been building his discography over the last ten years, releasing a number of projects on Black Coffee’s imprint, Soulistic Music, before signing with Innervisions in 2009. After gaining support from one of the leading electronic producers to come from South Africa - Black Coffee - De Song has gone on to launch his own imprint, De Song Music.
Hopping between gritty techno to more melodic, uplifting rhythms over the last decade, Gabriel Ananda is an artist who refuses to sit still, releasing on Bedrock Records, Truesoul and Traum, before launching his own imprint, Basmati.
Artbat is the marrying of sonic minds between Ukrainian electronic duo, Artur and Batish. Gaining support from the likes of Richie Hawtin during the early days of their career paved the way to a slew of bookings for the doublet, from Tel Aviv to London, gradually expanding their profile as a thoroughly engaging act to watch out for in 2018.
Our residents, Kyle E and Luther Vine will deliver a very rare B2B set joining Canadian techno selector and producer D- Unity on the Middle Floor.
Warm Up head honcho Aidan Doherty joins the proceedings, while the self-professed 'storytellers in sound' Chapter 24 Records host the Basement, with a plethora of emerging and more established talent from the imprint including label regular JOBE and recent signing Olderic.
South African-born Samantha Blackburn brings her Buntu sound to life in the Loft, honouring her roots and culture with a blend of percussive techno and tribal tech.
