Teeth 'n' Smiles is at Duke of York's Theatre, London. This 50th anniversary revival of David Hare's play stars Rebecca Lucy Taylor (Self Esteem) as Maggie Frisby, once the voice of 60s counterculture and now broke and disillusioned as her band's anarchic dreams fall apart.
With original music, the play follows Maggie through a night fuelled by booze, fury and refusal as she tries to hold the line while everything around her collapses. It brings David Hare's work back to the stage in a production centred on rebellion, music and the aftermath of broken promises.
