Review of Copeland Gallery

I hired the Copeland Gallery at the beginning of April for an art exhibition along with 19 other artists.
During the exhibition week we experienced unprofessional and uncooperative behaviour from the Copeland Gallery management.
The gallery management made threats to cancel the show - the day before installation and on the day of our preview night. In addition there were safety concerns regarding the integrity of the building and electrics.
There was also a lack of communication from management with our exhibition group during the week.
We took in a hoover to clean the gallery of dust on installation day and had to clean the toilet facilities to make them suitable for members of the public.

Very small selection of clothing. I was shocked to be charged entrance to an event with only a few rails of clothing spread over one small room. The variety was also quite limited, with basically flannel shirts, jumpers (mostly white) and extremely old dresses. The changing rooms were a joke, with only one full length mirror in a bathroom full of toilet cubicles. Everyone had to change outside the cubicles in a disorganized mess, and queue to use the mirror. The music and atmosphere were quite good but I would say overall the actual vintage clothing and layout was very disappointing.

Quite good over wall organisation
But really really bad poor quality clothes.... every items were dirty or in very pity conditions. No brands and after all expensive for the quality and merchandising.

Some great stuff and always well run! Great location. Only negative is that they oversold on the super early bird 10am tick*ts though which meant it didn't feel very exclusive compared to coming at 11am. Will always go to this event though!
