Hackney Colliery Band: Collaborations on Saturday 5th October 2019

Described as ‘one of the greatest live bands that we have in this country’ by BBC Radio 2, over a ten year career HCB's unique blend of driving rhythm, powerful horns and introspective electronics have steered their live sets. In this concert they present material from their latest album Collaborations: Volume One, a celebration of their proudly eclectic taste and collaborative spirit.

This show will feature some of the album’s musical guests including the father of Ethio-jazz Mulatu Astatke, turntablist and producer DJ Yoda, writer and performer Rob Auton and composer (and one third of cult rock band Three Trapped Tigers) Tom Rogerson. Expect a lively night of music, showmanship and collaboration.

Music Genres:

Big Band, Electronic
