10 Years Of Rompa's Reggae Shack Carnival Warm Up Party

INTRO:

Rompa’s Reggae Shack celebrates 10 years in the game with a special carnival warm-up day and night event at 93 Feet East sponsored by Pirates Grog Rum and Red Stripe.

We have decided to celebrate 10 years of Rompa’s Reggae Shack with a payback party, we have booked a number of DJs and artists we have worked with over the past years who we’d like to say thank you to, and alongside this, we have hand picked some acts who we’ve always wanted to book. The event will be family-friendly until 7pm and we have kept the ticket price as low as possible to ensure everyone can attend. The full lineup will be announced soon but expect the best in reggae, dub, dancehall, disco, ska, jungle and drum and bass.

RUM TASTING

Don’t miss the Pirates Grog Rum tasting (starting at 1pm) where you will get the chance to taste 6 of the amazing different rums Pirates Grog have on offer. We will have guest tasters and expert hosts to guide you through the tasting as well as a raffle to WIN Pirates Grog prizes (you will automatically be entered with each ticket purchased). We have a limited number of spaces for this rum tasting so be quick if you want to get involved. Tickets are priced at £35 and include entry to the day and night events.

FOOD

We have called in the team at London Jerk Festival to work with us to supply us with a selection of top food traders to ensure you don’t go hungry. We have confirmed the following with more being added: Doreen’s Jamaican Rum Cakes / Natty’s Patties / The Jerk Peddler (Chicken wings) with more to be confirmed.

OPEN DECKS:

We have brought back our open deck, vinyl-only event format for this event and it will be running from 1pm-4pm on the courtyard stage. This is open to all DJs of all ages and capabilities as we believe it’s important to give the opportunity to up-and-coming, as well as established DJs to get the chance to play music in front of new crowds in new venues. This will be a vinyl-only format and you will need to register to play to get your time slot by emailing james@concretepr.co.uk with the subject line “Open Decks / Vinyl Only DJ request”
