About

Matt Bianco is a UK group formed in 1982 by Mark Reilly (vocals), Danny White (keyboards) and Kito Poncioni (bass), from the ashes of Blue Rondo A La Turk.

Their first album Whose Side Are You On? (1984) featured unknown polish vocalist Basia. The LP turned Matt Bianco into one of the biggest acts of the 1980's with hits such as Get Out Of Your Lazy Bed, Half A Minute, More Than I Can Bear.

Basia and Danny White left the group after the first album to pursue a solo-career with Sony under the name Basia. Mark Reilly worked with keyboardist Mark Fisher for the next self titled LP Matt Bianco (1986) which included the big hit Yeh Yeh.

The next Matt Bianco LP Indigo (1988) was produced by Gloria Estefan's husband Emilio Estefan which included the singles Don't Blame It On That Girl, Good Times & Wap Bam Boogie.

Matt Bianco continue to this day collaborating with the cream of UK Jazz musicians along with two incredible albums with Dutch Latin jazz crew New Cool Collective in recent times.

The latest double LP The Essential Matt Bianco re-imagined re-loved features 30 tracks from the Matt Bianco catalogue which are either re recorded or remixed.

An AGMP Concerts presentation.
