Club Classics: The Lips Remix on Wednesday 14th November 2018
Pump up the jam and get ready to make your body groove – Lips will be remixing the biggest and best dance tunes of all time this November at Clapham Grand in awesome choral style. We’ll take you up to the highest heights on a tour through the most iconic dance music scenes, from 70s d.i.s.c.o to 80s rave culture and 90s/00s UK garage.
Not only will there be singalong big-room bangers but also we’ll also be going deep (deep down where the love is), exploring how different communities brought dance culture from the underground to the mainstream, and celebrating the diverse voices that created some of the world’s favourite club classics. With appearances from UK beatbox champion Grace Savage and singer Elliotte Williams-N’Dure (fresh from her stint in ZooNation’s critically acclaimed Sylvia at the Old Vic), London’s favourite all-women pop choir will be performing a brand new set of original arrangements, medleys and mashups led by musical director Jessica Maryon Davies. Expect everything from Chic, Diana Ross and Candi Staton to Bronski Beat, Adamski and N Trance, topped off with the likes of Duke Dumont, Years and Years and En Vogue – sung in sweet harmony like you’ve never heard them before.
Music Genres: Acid House, Choral, Club Classics, Disco, UK Garage
