Complete rip off. Have attended gin festivals previously and thought this would be a similar set up, badly mistaken. As it was in the Liver buildings thought the event rooms would be impressive - overcrowded corporate event room, could have been anywhere, venue was far too small, no seats, too hot, huge queue for the bar. There was only one bar, they had run out of 2 of the gins we requested by 8pm. No individual gin stalls with serving staff that were knowledgeable/interested in the product, poor staff were run ragged. Entertainment felt like we were at a bad wedding reception. We drank up and left as soon as we could, worked out we payed £40 each for a glass and two double gins. Wish we'd turned round and come straight back out and demanded a refund which is what we saw another customer doing.

Venue was too small for the amount of people there. Not enough bar staff long queues for drinks. VIP area cornered off was too small, bit of a joke really. But overall enjoyed my night.

We used to attend festival in crypt at Liverpool metropolitan cathedral where you could taste & trail gins
There was nothing like this here
Very crowded with massive queue for bar
The orig was better organised

Another FABULOUS event!!
Lovely venue, nice to have PROPER food at a very reasonable price and good atmosphere.
There was a 91 year old lady on my table and she had a good time being serenaded by the singer!
The only thing I would suggest is perhaps to have fewer fruity flavoured gins.
Perhaps next year there could a Christmas event at The Venue, not everyone can get to St.Helens.

We have attended a number of the Absolutely Fabulous gin festivals and they have all been fantastic. They are so professionally organised and the entertainment and food is such a high quality. From start to finish James Franklyn had everyone up dancing and singing along. Variety of gins was top quality. I would highly recommend but you need to book early as they are usually a sell out...and it’s obvious why !!

I thought the gin night was really good apart from the last 15 minutes. I was on the 6pm until 11pm slot but the staff starting dismantling the empty tables and moving them with the chairs at 22.45 whilst some of us were still sitting nearby which was quite annoying especially since the event wasn’t supposed to finish until 23.00. I feel this should not have happened and they should have least waited until everyone had left .

The Absolutely Fabulous Gin festival was a fantastic night...the clue is in the title 😉
It had everything we wanted for a fun evening. A huge choice of gins, a brilliant , entertaining singer, a good dance and a stunning venue. This is my third one now, and I can’t wait for my fourth!! 😊🍸😊

Exactly as it says Absolutely Fabulous, great value for money for you what you get on the way in, the experience & what better than to be in such an Iconic Venue at the Liver Buildings, trying so many Gins, having good fun with my friends, also great singer!
