A Walk on the Beguiled Side
Queen Zee and the Sasstones were a massive bonus as the first act of the evening and they are rapidly becoming one of your author's favourite live bands - full of boundless energy, raw punk attitude and the effervescent wit and sparkle of one of the music scene's most charismatic and enigmatic frontpeople. And they can play too - heavy, urgent, as tight as a matador's kecks and utterly compelling..... and then he was a she. Brilliant .... Sorry have faint echoes of Elastika and are quickly evolving into a strong and staple support on the circuit. Included in their powerful set was a bassline borrowed directly from the Pistols' classic Submission, but within a solid and suitably strong song all their own. They are surely destined for bigger and better things as a headline act in their own right - they certainly have no reason to apologise.... With the street smarts of The Streets and the leer of Lydon, Shame arrived at Magnet on the crest of a huge wave of hype and anticipation and lived up to every tweet, every post, every spoken word of mouth recommendation and every column inch thus far written. A set of extraordinary, mesmerising power - a genuine 'I was there' moment. They promised to return to Liverpool and so will I to see them - this is the most energetic live act in the country and again, they can play. Brilliantly. No shame in that.... Liverpool City is the place where they said Hey Babe......

Review of Liverpool Comedy Cellar Comedy Club
Enjoyable evening filled with laughs. A lot more intimate than I was expecting which was a good thing. Good beer on tap. It was a birthday present and I have a happy wife.

Review of Follakzoid
Great show, with a pretty decent support to boot (take a bow, Bonnacons of Doom). Föllakzoid do mesmeric drone-rock, weaving complex rhythms from seemingly basic ingredients. Good enough on record, the live set is eye-popping. Recommended
