Review of NYE Flapper annd Dapper evening
The first band was good but lacked creating a party atmosphere. We could see people sitting around, saw a couple of yawning. The second band was brilliant . The casino tables were a good idea but needed spacing out a bit more.as very crowded around them. There was canapés offered all night which was brilliant. I think the bar opened its doors to the public about 11.30pm as we had a group of teenage girls, who had brought their own bottles of alcohol in with them and they were breathing laughing gas from balloons, not what you expect on a ‘ticket only’ night. One girl said her mother owned the bar to me.
We had to move away. Overall we had a great night but it took a couple of hours to get there.

Review of NYE Flapper annd Dapper evening
Not much of atmosphere, only offered canapés once during whole evening, didn’t see anyone pretending to be out of the series, and thought there would be balloon drop at midnight but nothing apart from a countdown

Review of NYE Flapper annd Dapper evening
Was expecting a Peaky Blinders themed evening based on the venue and on the pre-event publicity. What was delivered was way off the mark. 70s disco music piped throughout the place and no effort was made to replicate a 1920s feel . Very little interaction with the ‘characters.’ Casino area was very disappointing and amateurish. The food was minimal And frankly unappetising. The promised cabaret was only delivered to the downstairs area. So people sat in the upstairs area saw nothing of that. We received tickets for free ’fizz’ to see in the New Year. We doubted very much that it would be champagne based on the evening up to that point so decided to leave early and see the new year in at home. very overpriced for what was delivered so putting this one down to experience.......

Review of NYE Flapper annd Dapper evening
After paying £40 each I was expecting a little more . I feel some things that were advertised wasn’t there for example the horse racing . Casino tables close early, tarot card reading closed early didn’t see any burlesque dancers ‘throughout’ the night . Canopies were few and far between. The cars at the front were lovely but for £40 a ticket I think it was a little overpriced .

Review of NYE Flapper annd Dapper evening
Having been advertised with a swing band with 1920s sounds and flapper dancers throughout the evening along with actors and props this never happened. The flapper dancers danced for 5 minutes, the 2 X bands all played modern music no 1920s and not an actor in sight. The horses and cars led you in to a false pretence of what the evening was about. The shame of it all is that everyone got involved and dressed up for the event in a true 1920s style which was brought forward to another era with 70s and 80s music.
