KREWE LIVERPOOL : THE MARDI GRAS EXPERIENCE on Friday 7th February 2020

Join us for the inaugural KREWE LIVERPOOL : The Mardi Gras Experience, at the Palm House, in Sefton Park.
This surreal masquerade will be Liverpool's first official Mardi Gras celebration, with music, dance and costume the essential ingredients in this city-wide collaborative gumbo.

Expect dance music from the 1920's; from Frog & Henry (New Orleans, Louisiana) and Liverpool's own The Jubilee Stompers, plus DJ Jonnie O'Hare (Beaten Tracks) with a New Orleans' inspired soundtrack to this surreal masquerade ball.

The night also features Krewes from Invisible Wind Factory, EAT ME + Preach, Mersey Swing, Movema and members of The Kazimier and MelloMello’s finest marching bands reform to create “The Harlequin Dynamite Ancients of Balance Krewe”.

Krewe Liverpool aims to unite local audiences and arts organisations through their own take on the New Orleans Krewe traditions, in this inclusive performance-based celebration of local culture. Ticket holders are welcome to affiliate with any of these Krewes - or are invited to create their own with friends and family. There is just one stipulation - all Krewes must remain positive and inclusive!

Produced by Laura Brownhill (The Kazimier) and David McTague (Mellowtone).
