Atrium invite SY [Ewax/Rawax] on Saturday 15th February 2020

Belgian crew Atrium will be coming to Liverpool and meraki for their UK debut event and will provide a night of cutting-edge house music and minimal techno grooves. Atrium residents Karu and Vanu Baran will warm up for EWax label boss SY/YSC.

Originally from Manchester, SY (or YSC) has been living in Berlin for the past 5 years and is now a big name in the underground European scene. He runs his label's EWax (founded in 2016) plus two sister labels - EWax Black and EWax White. The EWax family exhibits music from the likes of Djebali, Paolo Rocco, Monika Ross, Alex Ground, Jamahr and many more.
SY also hosts label showcases across Europe including Barcelona, Ibiza, Paris, Amsterdam and of course his long standing Watergate Club night in Berlin. During those years he's played at renowned clubs like Fabric, Watergate, Dedge, Sankeys, Space, Ibiza, Hoppetosse, Tresor, Badaboum, Golzheim to name a few.

Wirral local Karu moved to Berlin in 2015 to make a name for himself and soon secured a residency at the notorious Goldengate-Berlin club where he continues to play each month. Not long after, he also joined the Atrium crew and 2019 has seen him play across Germany, Belgium, France, Sweden and The Netherlands.

Vanu Baran

Born in Belgium, Vanu Baran grew up in Liege where he first appeared behind the decks. He got into music at the age of 13 as a drummer, but later discovered electronic music thanks to Fuse club in Brussels. He fell in love with the place and often came back to discover more music and artists. After buying his first mixer at 19, he naturally progressed to create his own record label with a close friend: Conceptual Poetry. He is also a resident for the Atrium crew.
