Mike West, Chris Young and Creaky Bones on Friday 15th September 2017

Creaky Bones was first discovered swaddled in fine linen in 1903 behind a secret Blues cabinet in the Pentagon.

Armed with a slide & a pair of foot-drums, Creaky covers everything from Delta Blues to Cage the Elephant, with a few originals up his sleeves too.

A mix of acoustic and electric, Creaky Bones is an eclectic Liverpool-based musician who prizes audience participation above all things... except fine linen.

Chris Young released an album in 2015 under the pseudonym Quills. 'The Spirit Level' was a dark ambient alt/folk album which explored the themes of angst and alienation. Fast forward 2017 and Chris Young has stepped out of that genre, introducing a new sense of urgency and humour to his songwriting that can only arrive from that most insanely hilarious of places.....the everyday.

Mike West has a reputation as an honest and engaging Alt-Country musician. Beginning his musical journey as the frontman and guitarist for a thrash metal band, Mike traded in his electric guitar for an acoustic and began paying homage to his love of delta blues, folk and country while remaining true to his metal and rock roots.

With his new E.P ‘Rusted’, named from him coming to terms with the fact that he not that metal anymore, Mike explores the themes of working for the machine, Walt Whitman’s poetry, love, struggle and the dereliction of his home town and with an ever expanding repertoire of songs, his live performances are a roller coaster of existentialism, literature and dealing with the pressing questions in his life, wrapped up into relatable songs you can tap your feet too.

Music Genres:

Acoustic, Alternative, Blues, Country/Americana, Folk
