Seafoam Green's Last Waltz on Friday 16th November 2018
An evening with a band and friends, playing over 20 songs from one of the most influential evenings in music history.
After two years of sell out shows in the Music Room, Seafoam Green's Last Waltz returns to the Philharmonic, this time in the iconic Philharmonic Hall.
'…the sold out crowd are on their feet…and hoping that this may not be the last time we see this show hit the heights...'
On 25 November 1976, at the Hinterland Ballroom in San Fransisco, The Band performed their last ever concert after 16 years on the road. On that fateful night they were joined by some ‘friends’ - Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Muddy Waters, Van Morrison, Dr John, Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris & Joni Mitchell to name but a few. The event was filmed by director Martin Scorsese and made into a documentary, released in 1978 and has been hailed one of the greatest concert films ever produced.
Over 40 years later, a collective of some of Liverpool’s finest musicians came together to celebrate its influence and its impact. The night was such a success that two nights were booked for 2017, and it's happening all again, this time in the Philharmonic Hall's main room.
