APOLLO JUNCTION (SPOTIFY)

From Leeds, UK, Apollo Junction are a 5 piece that have been described as a modern day New Britpop band. Their sound has taken them to just about every corner of the UK. It’s easy to hear why Graham Norton, Steve Lamacq are fans of the band and why they have well over half a million streams under their belts too. In 2019 they released their debut album ‘Mystery’ with a number of the songs featuring across TV, Radio and soundtracked Ubisoft's Watchdogs Legion game and BBC 1’s primetime show The Syndicate.
Across 2020-21 the band used the time to release new music and are currently adding to their current onslaught of releases and firing on all cylinders as they line up their second release of 2021. Fresh off the back of their critically acclaimed single ‘On The Ropes,’ which Steve Lamacq described as “swaggering electro rock” they’re ready to go with another arena-sized indie anthem. ‘Light Up The Sky released on the 9th April. Apollo Junction are feeding off the skyrocketing momentum as they line up their next effort. The band have a number of festivals and a string of dates with the Kaiser Chiefs and then they’ve got their biggest headline show to date at Leeds Warehouse coming up in November. With their second album looming, this is a properly exciting time for a properly exciting band. Get involved.

FLECHETTES (SPOTIFY)

Flechettes are a four piece band from the gritty town of Wigan, in the north west of England. Coming from the same streets as long time friends Stanleys and The Lathums, the group quickly asserted themselves on the local scene in the summer of 2019 and played many shows in the wider northwest. The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has been bittersweet for the band. In the absence of live shows, they have gained a large following online, thanks to their second single ‘chasing youth’ released in August 2020. In February 2021, new single ‘Man of the Hour’ was released, receiving Record of the Week on XS Manchester, play on BBC Introducing Merseyside and play on Radio X by John Kennedy. It also featured on Soccer AM in the same week. The band then released their debut EP ‘Ink and Gold’ receiving Radio X’s Xposure ‘Hot one’ the week before its release, thanks to John Kennedy. The whole EP was then played on the prestigious nationwide US radio show ‘Rodney on the Rock’ on SiriusXM, as well as also being played on radio as far away as Ecuador and South Africa.
