Body//work w/ Nightwave, Finn, Bodywork DJ's on Friday 25th January 2019

Nightwave (Heka Trax / Warp)

Maya Medvesek, better known as Nightwave, has established herself as an internationally renowned DJ, producer, vocalist, club promoter, label boss and activist. Known for 'slicing through styles like a hungry shark,'' her off kilter sounds have made waves in the DJ, radio and promotion world, and celebrated mixes for the likes of Resident Advisor, Fact Mag, Dummy and Mixmag have seen her fold in Techno, Breakbeat, Electro, Footwork and Acid with ease.

Nightwave's own productions encompass the signature punchy sound of acid, Chicago house, Detroit techno and electro; fused with heady rave nostalgia and the latest, hybrid forms of club music. Her releases on labels Unknown To The Unknown, Balkan Vinyl, Fabric, Ministry of Sound, Warp and her own imprint Heka Trax have secured widespread kudos and praise from the world’s most respected music outlets, and she returns to Liverpool for the first time since 2012.

Finn (Local Action / Chow down / NTS)

A producer, DJ, NTS radio host and label head, Finn has come of age representing Manchester's underground dance music scene over the last four years, and since his 2014 debut 'Keep Calling’, has crafted his own breathless take on House music, taking chunks from Speed Garage, Grime & Ghetto-House.

Finn is also responsible for one of 2018's stand out tracks, 'Sometimes The Going Gets A Little Tough', which gathered over 2m Spotify streams on its initial release via Tom Lea's London imprint Local Action before being commercially released on Defected records. the track also received radio support from the likes of Annie Mac, Skream and Monki.
