Mellowtone / Downstairs at the Everyman on Thursday 10th November 2022

Martin Stilwell is a singer songwriter who has been making music for over 20 years. He first started writing and performing as a teenager, and went on to front the Liverpool-based outfits Alterkicks and Dead Cities. He has performed all over the UK, including shows at Glastonbury and T in the Park, and has worked with Stephen Street.

After an 8 year hiatus, Stilwell is now breaking out on his own. His solo work is rooted in the traditions of classic song-writing; echoes of Neil Young and Elliot Smith are delivered through a decidedly English filter, with production influenced by the likes of Four Tet.

Bathed in Light is Stilwells' eclectic debut collection of homemade recordings, taking in alternative pop, melodic folk, and electronica.

Jez Wing is a composer, songwriter, and producer. As songwriter and composer he produced the first of a triptych of folk/alt-pop influenced music entitled Believe Me To Remain in 2015, and is the former keyboard player for Liverpool post-punk legends Echo & The Bunnymen. Expect piano led tracks from Wing's 'Land of the Living' repertoire.

Plazzybag has been many things, none of which have quite stuck. Most recently she is a Poet, artist and tattooer and will probably do this for a few years, until she realises she's not very good. She does, however, try her best at everything and is quite sound.

A Liverpool-based collective of DJs, promoters and afficionados who champion the rare, the dusty and the forgotten... expect funk, soul, reggae, afrobeat, latin, hiphop, blues and jazz; leftfield beats and soulful enlightenment...

Music Genres:

Alternative, Blues, Folk
