EAT ME Presents - Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Wednesday 13th November 2019

EAT ME Presents… HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH!

On the 13th November EAT ME Presents… is throwing an interactive film screening, drag show and big queer disco party at District supported by the BFI.

This is no ordinary film screening honey dumps! We’ve got performances, prizes and sultry surprises featuring EAT ME fave Gez Mez, and hot-hot hostess Midgitte Bardot.

After the show, shake a wing on the District dance-floor courtesy of a DJ set from punk princess heartthrob, ZEE!

About the film:
Opening in 2001, shortly before 9/11, Hedwig was a box office bomb upon release but garnered a devoted global following in the LGBTQIA+ community and beyond!

For a community of defiant misfits challenging the status quo, Hedwig became a guiding light and remains one 18 years later, even as popular discourse around sex and gender has shifted dramatically. Hedwig is a raucous, game changing, boundary breaker; equal parts poignant, hilarious and provocative. She’s a queer-canon and cult masterpiece that will warm your cockles and bring juicy tears to your eyes…

So put on some make-up, turn on the tape deck - and pull the wig down from the shelf for this singalong musical spectacular!

Presented in partnership with Cinema Nation and Metal Liverpool.
This screening is part of BFI Musicals! The Greatest Show on Screen, a UK-wide film season supported by National Lottery, BFI Film Audience Network and ICO.
