BANGERS & CASH on Saturday 9th November 2019

Please note, this event has been cancelled.

Join us in the very cool Blade Factory at Camp & Furnace, Liverpool, for something a little different.
A night of classic disco, house, funky house and trance music , with every tune a BIG tune, and every tune played on vinyl...for the love of it!

ALL funds raised will go to help the amazing people at Wirral Hospice St John's continue to make a real difference to their patients and their loved ones.
From a personal perspective, when my own mum was there, I've seen first-hand how well they look after anyone in their care, so it's a cause close to my heart.

We're absolutely chuffed that classic house music legend and founder of the Retro sound, Paul Taylor, has very kindly agreed to play for us.
It's been a while since we've seen him in Liverpool, so we're sure it's going to be a very special night, as does Paul.
Read on below for a few of his thoughts.......

A message from Paul:

To those of you who know me, you will know that I've been around a long time, particularly playing classic house music.
I created my brand Retro way back in 1989 and well, I'm still as busy as I've always been which I put down simply to the love I have for dance music, and the human being's instinct of needing to boogie through life.

I don't play Liverpool much. Don't ask me why, because I can never get my head around it, but it's been a good 5 years since.
One thing I do know is that I have a strong fan base from that neck of the woods, which is partly why I've agreed to play.

It is of course a very worthy cause, and the organiser, Jasper... well, let's just say we go way back...WAY back, a bit like my tunes!
I've also agreed to the vinyl thing, which will be the first time in many a disco moon, so my prep time will be serious (all that cleaning of those grooves has always taken me an age), and I'm looking forward to that feeling again.

So as they say - SEE YOU DOWN THERE!

So please dig deep, buy a ticket or five, help out a fantastic charity, and enjoy a great night out, dancing to many of the tunes you'll remember from back in the day!

I can’t thank Paul enough for wanting to make the journey down the M62 to entertain us, and to Sean at SoundNorthwest for supplying us with lighting for the evening, again, at no cost.
Nice one, chaps!

Pre-drinks - Make an early us upstairs at Dockleaf in Cains Brewery Village.
