Review of Liverpool Tattoo Convention
This year wasn’t as busy as previous years, and it didn’t help with another Convention on at Preston the same weekend!! There weren’t as many Artists this time around or as many punters that said it was a very enjoyable weekend but rather muted compared to previous Liverpool Conventions, whoever had the idea to put two conventions on the same weekend only miles apart obviously hasn’t got any business/common sense.

Review of Eurovision Extravaganza
TV/ sound set up was poor, sound was distorted. TV’s were too small and difficult for many to see due to seating layout.
Steve was very entertaining and got everyone in the mood, but there wasn’t enough time for the activities he had planned.
The promised welcome c**ktail was a disappointing Bucks Fizz and when I visited the American Bar for the advertised themed c**ktails the bar lady seemed reluctant to serve me as it is a “Residents bar” and insisted I return the glass!
The menu and food were the biggest let down, more “food from the gulag” than Ukrainian themed. The soup was surprisingly good, but the deconstructed scouse turned out to be a fatty, undercooked lump of lamb ( which we don’t eat) with a couple of boiled potatoes and a bit of swede.
Despite the event being clearly advertised as over 18’s only, there were several children there, some as young as 4 which was entirely inappropriate.
We found the event poor value for money and wished we’d gone to a local bar for better food and the same atmosphere.
