Abandon Silence and 24 Kitchen Street present

Baltic Weekender

A new cultural event for Liverpool presented by Abandon Silence and 24 Kitchen Street.

Across the weekend of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th June two of Liverpool's foremost promoters of club culture will join forces in the hotly contested Baltic Triangle area of the city to present a special weekend of events. A range of live acts and DJs shall head to Merseyside for all three days of events, with the Friday and Saturday afternoons and evenings hosting some of the finest names either clubbing institution has hosted, before the weekend culminates in a special intimate Closing Party.

Abandon Silence shall be celebrating their 7th Birthday as part of the Weekender, and they shall bring a raft of the finest in house, techno and disco to their Main Stage. 24 Kitchen Street shall also be bringing some incredible talent, with their brands Wonder Pot, Hot Plate and several more hosting stages across the weekend featuring the sounds of house, grime, techno, bass and reggae. A number of other Liverpool brands shall be hosting smaller stages, with an emphasis on combining the larger international acts that Abandon Silence and 24 Kitchen Street are known for alongside local and upcoming producers and DJs.

All of these genres will be represented across the weekend as a number of venues are utilised. For now, the team behind the Baltic Weekender are remaining tight-lipped over most of the details, but will be revealing the first phase of names in the coming weeks.

Andrew Hill, founder of Abandon Silence, said, 'The Baltic Weekender is something that ourselves and the 24KS team have discussed for a few years now, and after all of the attacks that our culture has come under in recent months and years, we thought that 2017 was the perfect time to go ahead with our plans and really make a statement to the city that we are worth something. Our stage features the strongest three days of talent we have ever presented as Abandon Silence, we cannot wait to reveal all in a few weeks.'

*Tickets and details of the intimate Closing Party on Sunday 4th shall be released in April.
