Summer of love: The Woodstock Generation

When The Jesse Janes were asked in late 2023 to put together a Summer of Love show, there was no pause, no pondering, no “let’s think about it”. They jumped in barefoot and smiling, sleeves rolled, hearts wide open. The show came together with joy, colour, and deep affection for an era that changed music forever, and when it landed at West Kirby Arts Centre in June 2024, it became one of those nights people still talk about with a soft grin and a little shake of the head. You know the kind.

Since then, the band has been roaming far and wide with their O Brother, Where Art Thou? show, popping up at festivals, special events, and in between it all, writing new music and following the road where it bends. But some shows don’t stay in the past quietly. Some tap you on the shoulder and say, it’s time again.

So here it is.

The Jesse Janes invite you to step back into a moment when music was a movement, when songs were spells, and when peace, love, and a good harmony felt like acts of gentle rebellion. Summer of Love: The Woodstock Generation is a celebration of the artists who shaped everything that came after. The voices, bands, and songs that still hum through our bones. The ones that taught us how to sing together.

Expect flower power spirit, rich harmonies, and that unmistakable Jesse Janes blend of warmth, soul, and playful reverence. This is not nostalgia sealed in glass. This is living, breathing music, shared in a room full of people who feel it too.
