Wide Eyed Boy are a Liverpool based quartet immersing themselves in their hometown's illustrious musical heritage. Two parts British, one part German, and one part Australian, the band bonded over a shared love of Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) alumni The Wombats, The Zutons and Circa Waves.
Paul Holden is a hugely gifted singer/songwriter, his hauntingly beautiful melodies give his songs an atmospheric edge with choruses which connect on the first listen. Paul has appeared at venues from the 02 to the Echo Arena supporting artists like The Pretenders, Shack, and The Bluetones. His debut EP 'Worthy Of The Weight' is released on 2nd December 2019 and this gig will showcase this stunning record for the very first time.
Having come from the stage DADDY is a music band, playing instruments together in pre organised patterns and rhythms in order to make people clap after the playing has finished. Having recently ventured into the world of reordered instrument-playing, their music has been described as 'Funk'. DADDY-ESQUE is rumoured to have been written not by man, but instead chorused through the winds of ancient China in the Jiangsu province. It was just fortunate that founding members of DADDY were there to hear it and translate the intoxicating melodies of times gone by into commercial funk tune filled with fat horn lines, naughty riffs and ripping solos.
Music Genres: Blues, Funk, Indie
