Review of Thom Morecroft Live
Great varied mix of performers on the night , the main event Thom Morecroft and his band, delivered a performance of songs that was sublime ,with tight complex harmonies, clever guitar /key riffs, and a drummer with just the right depth of touch to compliment the new more powerful sound of Thoms set.
Thom as ever was gracious in his acknowledgement of the talent of the other artists on the bill and his band, after singing his heart out the band left the stage and Thom closed the show with on his lonesome with a solo effort, the finale of his song (the beast) when he let rip with six notes of blinding range and clarity that mere words alone cant express just how magical it was to hear.
If you get the opportunity , go to see him perform 'live'

Review of Stanley Brinks & Freschard
Great gig in a wonderful venue. 81 Renshaw Street is the real deal, a community hub offering great events, coffee and records throughout the year. The gig, was as sublime as their last one in 81.

Review of Buffalo Riot
Another great night at 81 Renshaw. The Buffalo Riot celebrating 10 years together as a band and premiering tracks from their forthcoming second album alongside some classics over the years and they knocked the ball out of the ballpark. And also a big mention in dispatches for support band Rivia who brought some great energy to the stage to start off a brilliant night's entertainment. Kudos to the Buffs, Rivia, Nothingville Music and 81 Renshaw. If Carlsberg made gigs...

Review of Nick Ball & The Wrong Crowd /Loose Cut /Godlike Highs/Joe Astley
Night seemed very poorly organised in whole. Too many bands, all of which left early after their own set. Think the promoter should stay and watch at least the headline band! Who even is Paul Bennett? A BTEC Ted Bundt?

Review of Johnny Dowd plus Support
Venue is a small intimate venue, ideal for artists who might not fill a stadium but have a following. Could have been more seats so had to stand at the back near the bar which was actually bang in the centre so ideal for the sound. Quality of sound is quite good here, not all venues have the same acoustics and this place works in that respect. As for the gig, it was Johnny Dowd and Mike Edmonson, along with Mr Dowds electric drum sounds for the beat. Excellent gig and the crowd loved every minute of it. From dirty down home blues to Frank Sinatra, it was a musical event that will live in the memory forever.
