Review of The Blackjacks // Live In-Store
Amazing grass roots rock and roll, skiffle, and rockabilly and from guys who are in their mid twenties. 2 sets - 1 of their great album Elvis Presley Posters and 2nd of their single / ep plus other great songs including a very interesting version of Octopuses Garden. Roots music lives and is in good hands!

Review of Don Powell\'s Occasional Flames
This was a very intimate show with Don telling personal stories, and listening to Les Glover singing the early Slade songs that Don had written the lyrics to.
Capped off with a performance of new material from Don and The Occasional Flames.

Review of Vetiver
I've seen Vetiver around a dozen times ver the last 12-13 years but this was the first time I'd seen Andy Cabic doing a solo acoustic show. Apprently, it was only his 4th solo gig without the band. It was brilliant to hear the songs from the extensive Vetiver back catalogue played as Andy had first imagined them. He also played 3-4 tracks off the band's excellent new album "Up On High" and he's hoping to return to U.K. next year, this time with the full band. Hope it happens!

Review of Only Child with Strings
Great evening's entertainment, very friendly, nice atmosphere, impressive acoustics (not too loud but could hear lyrics), availability of a cup of tea/coffee very welcome in the cold weather, nice choice at the bar, wish I'd had a cushion to sit on though! Idiosyncratic toilet arrangement very good for getting to chat to people.
