MBSR 8 Week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course on Wednesday 7th - Wednesday 14th November 2018
Throughout the MBSR participants are introduced to simple meditation practices that can help us become more present to our experience, manage thoughts, emotions and body sensations more effectively, and develop helpful responses to difficulties. The practices include sitting meditation, body scanning and gentle mindful movement, as well as some shorter exercises that invite mindfulness in daily life. The programme was developed at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in the 1970’s by Professor Jon Kabat - Zinn. The MBSR course is secular, not spiritual or religious. Course times are both morning and evening Participants are encouraged and invited to stay involved after completing the program. Further groups and classes offer regular 'get- together's' for support, as well as online resources and guidance. We are dedicated to strengthening our 'Alumni Community' and committed to participants continuing to thrive as they maintain this Mindful lifestyle. We fully adhere to the UK Network for Mindfulness-Based Teachers Good practice guidelines for teaching mindfulness-based courses and continue to develop teaching skills through a supervised pathway with The Mindful Academy International, Valencia.Contact: Connect@mindfulpeople.community for more information.
