Purchased tickets for this event, which was then cancelled due to covid. I was promised a refund but a year on this has still not been received. Their website and email no longer exist so no way to get in contact. Fraud!

Venue & organisation is great. Would definitely reccomend. If picnics were allowed in think more would attend as spend a fortune on the fair for the kids.

Such a shame that this wasn’t better promoted, then more people would have attended and so livened up the atmosphere- I felt for some of the bands performing to only a handful of people. So many people I’ve spoken to didn’t know it was on or thought that ‘Texfest’ was anything other than a music festival (had everything from a monster truck event to a Mexican food festival).

Some great bands, friendly staff and good facilities- had such promise but let down by poor marketing.

We had a lovely day, the parking was good, the toilets were good, the bands were great. We went with our children and two grandchildren and thought that it was family friendly. There could have been more healthy choices with regards to the food as we hadn't taken a picnic with us as the website made this sound complicated but we struggled to find something that we all wanted to eat. The bar was very reasonably priced but there could have been a sitting area near to the bar to bring people together and add to the atmosphere - even hay bales would have provided seating. Also a few more sheltered areas would have been good as it was a very hot day and it was hard to keep the grandchildren out of the sun.

A brilliant, smaller festival suitable for people of all ages. I only attended on the Sunday, and camped over on Sunday night. However, if I were to go again, I would probably stay the whole weekend - depending on the line-up, of course. The bands were excellent, and the atmosphere was great. With fairground rides, good music, and several stalls to browse, I would definitely recommend this festival for families as well as the typical 'festival-goer'. I would also highly recommend this festival to 'first-timers'. Tex Fest is certainly not a big festival, which means it is ideal for those not used to the manic crowds at bigger festivals. I found it very easy to get to the front to see my favourite bands, and had an amazing time! Nevertheless, if you like the moshing and busy crowds of larger festivals, this is probably not the best event for you. For me, I really enjoyed being able to relax, to dance, to hear music, and to have fun.

Drink prices were somewhat high but no more than would be expected at a festival. However, if you are camping, you can bring a sensible amount of alcohol with you to the camping site, providing you don't have any glass bottles. I also brought my own food to the campsite so I cannot comment on food quality. However, there were several food stalls to choose from in the arena.

Staff and volunteers were friendly. The venue is very out-of-the-way, which is a shame. But all in all, a great festival - and one I would recommend.

We loved Texfest. It was pretty quiet, but on the plus side, no queues at all for the bar or the toilets - unheard of at any festival i ever went to. The music was amazing! The entertainment and food choice was really good too. The only 1 downside was that the transport was not well organised or signposted. We had shuttle bus tickets but there was no signposting to the bus stop, and there was no pre-arrangement with local taxis so there were none available at the site, so we ended up walking back to MH station at 11pm. If you go, arrange your own transport! Otherwise loved it!

Fab event - just shame there weren't more people there to enjoy it. The LIVE music/staging/sound was amazing!

A great variety of music, relaxed atmosphere with friendly, welcoming staff. Well organised and felt very safe. The VIP area was good, although no gourmet food as stated on the Sunday. Easy to reach venue, but no taxis on leaving as stated. Good value for money. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

My son was playing in one of the bands at the festival so I am biased but really enjoyed it. could have done with more people there to make a buzzy atmosphere. Staff on site were really friendly and professional.

Massive venue, too few punters. Looks like the organisers may have over estimated the demand .

Well organised in terms of getting the bands on - and a decent selection - but very hard to generate an atmosphere given the numbers.

I enjoyed it in a very low key way - but missing a bit of spark.

I am very angered to have turned up at the event, for nobody to even scan my ticket, or the tickets of my friends. Whilst walking around the empty venue for a while we slowly started to bump into a few people we knew. The topic on everyone's lips was 'did you pay for your ticket?' Our reply was obviously yes, with one friend admitting he had paid for his weekend ticket, but everyone else he knew going had not. Turns out that the majority of the people there had received a free ticket from places such as The Nag's Head in Market Harborough. Also whilst in the main tent, someone let off a flare which meant that the security were obviously not doing their job correctly searching bags. People were also smoking in the main tent. Just awful in general.
