Audio visual duo These Men perform a new work ‘From Stone’ which reimagines centuries of human interaction with the stone that shapes West Yorkshire. The audience are taken on a journey from the strata of the earth’s surface, into quarries and buildings, over walls, through geological time scales. Piano and violin combine with field recordings and fixed camera real time film to create a meditative immersive experience. Fragments of narrative emerge from the landscape. The solidity of stone is contrasted with the fragile shifting cycles of growth and decay as grasses blow in the wind.

Master of the ambient pastoral, and another folk-inspired ambient sound artist, Roberts weaves intricate nature-infused electronic soundscapes of deep forests and lonely seashores, through which melancholic woodwinds wander wistfully. Calm, relaxing, yet darkly mysterious, Roberts' blend of the electronic, the natural and the acoustic is sure to transport you to other worlds.
