Universe Revisited

We are proud to announce Universe Revisited at The Warehouse Leeds on August 12th 2023. DJs include Allister Whitehead, Jon Pleased Wimmin, Lisa Loud and Paul Murray b2b Marshall, remembering just how great Universe was, this time teaming up with Revisited Events for a night to remember.

Universe first hosted nights in 1991 at Bradford University with 2,000 capacity, sold out crowds from the first monthly event. They outgrew the venue and moved into the largest capacity nightclub in the UK at that time, The Maestro, Bradford. Universe hosted the biggest Bank Holiday events attracting 3,500 people from 1992-94 with a huge, way over capacity, 4,500 clubbers attending a Boxing Day night event, DJs included Jeremy Healy, Mike Pickering, Paul Taylor and a live P.A. from MPeople.

Universe promotions, beginning in the late ‘80s, promoted such brands as Tolerance, At Her Majesty’s Pleasure and Culture at Tall Trees in Yarm. Their association with Revisited goes back to the early days of Universe with tickets for their events and mix tapes being sold at Fulcrum Records in Huddersfield which is from where Revisited Events was spawned.

1990 Revisited was the first event, a 30th Anniversary night with Dream Frequency and Rob Tissera originally booked for 2020 but finally went ahead at Leeds Warehouse on August 27th 2021, bringing the club back to its heyday of 3 decades gone by. Since then, Revisited nights have included such names as Jon Dasilva, Anne Savage, Steve Luigi, Unique 3, Mark Alexander, DJ Sy, Awesome 3, Mark Holliday and Graeme Park to name a few.

This collaboration with Universe will be the eighth Revisited night and both promoters invite you, for one night only to relive the amazing atmosphere and music of Universe, how it was 30 years ago and to revisit a club that is held in the memories of many thousands of clubbers as the original House music venue in West Yorkshire, The Warehouse Leeds.
