20 Years of MiNT / Asylum / Maurice Fulton, PBR Streetgang on Saturday 10th November 2018
20 years of Mint club Presents...
(15th anniversary special)
Asylum has a long standing history with the Mint Club - set up in 2003 the party ran fortnightly for a number of years alongside Technique. Their 'off centre, anything goes' music policy saw the likes of Jazzy Jeff, Theo Parrish, Damian Lazarus, & Danny Krivit who have all made their mark at the club. The Asylum brand is deeply woven into Mint history, it's also responsible for bringing the infamous Circo Loco parties to the city. We can't wait to have them back for this one off special event in conjunction with the clubs 20th anniversary.
The brains behind one of house musics biggest records, 'gypsy women' by Crystal Waters, and more recently collaborating with Roisin Murphy - Maurice is considered by some to be a genius, he's certainly one of the most inventive underground producers and DJ's there is. Always a firm favourite at Asylum, he's able to join the dots between disco, house, soul and techno like no other!
Joining him are PBR Streetgang, one of the original founders and trusted residents at Asylum. The duo is going from strength to strength - releasing their debut album on Skint (Sony BMG) earlier in the year. These two have played some of the most respected parties on the planet!
Luke Unabomber, one half of the Unabombers, the guys behind the legendary 'Electric Chair' in Manchester, and another regular at Asylum over the years.
Dan Ward aka Negghead and also one half of Acid Mondays. Another Asylum resident, Dan's has featured heavily at Circo Loco in Ibiza for the last few years.
Andy Whittaker is another of the original Asylum residents - a true taste maker with 20 years service in electronic music under his belt. Label manager at '2020 Vision' and more recently 'R&S Records', he knows his onions! : )
