Music Lab is far more than just your "regular" music school. We were founded with basic principles in mind:
Everyone CAN learn;
Everyone SHOULD have access to learner-centred education;
No one should feel that talent is a barrier to education.
WHAT IS LEARNER-CENTRED EDUCATION?
Besides being our favourite thing in the world? Learner-centred education is an approach to teaching with which the student takes control over the pace, the model and the next steps of their educational journey.
Many times, we see a "curriculum-centred" approach being used. What this means, is that the teachers decide what to teach, when to teach it and how fast to teach it before moving onto the next "chapter".
We strongly disagree with this model. And Music Lab is at the forefront of this change to a better model - mainly focused on the idea of GROWTH MINDSET.
