The Purps - Single Launch / Askies / Ben Bickley / Corsiars on Friday 16th November 2018

The Purps
“Playing around with genres in the quest to redefine the sounds of tomorrow” - 5 towns radio.
An exciting, energetic quartet from West Yorkshire, preparing for the upcoming release of their new single 'Control', bringing a chilled, beachy reggae vibe accompanied with an explosive and dreamy psychedelic undertone; available on all major music platforms on the 2nd of November.
Latest single 'Smoke' Now currently available on all major streaming platforms.
‘Askies are definitely on the cusp of a musical breakthrough’ Denim + Leather
Formed in 2017, Askies have created an explosive live show, taking them to venues such as Headrow House and the Wardrobe within their first few months of gigging. Their distinct sound couples’ riff-heavy choruses with tight, groovy verses.
Having created a following on the local scene, Askies have taken to the studio to work on capturing the energy of their live set on their first release 'Mirror'; released August 24th.
Ben Bickley
“An exciting blend of acoustic and electronic songwriting, and a very powerful voice!” - Ramona Rose
'Ben has a very unique style and really great work with the loop pedals. Very pleasant to the ears.' - Phillip Oldroyd
Ben brings exciting new technologies to Singer Songwriter storytelling, with multi vocal melodies, loops and live vocal effects. His command of the stage is emotive and dramatic, and complimented by beautifully crafted guitar parts that set the scene for a powerful performance. His dark song themes are softened by humour in between the songs, relating well to his audiences…
A new indie rock band on the Leeds scene!
