Longing Belonging and Palestine on Friday 15th June 2018

An evocative 'music and spoken word concert' of human-earth stories through the eyes of Palestinians living under Occupation. A collaboration between Dar Al Musika (Palestine) and Chai For All (UK) with singer/bağlama player Zaid Hilal (Palestine). original Middle Eastern, jazz tinged, song and dance with visuals. Last gig in 5 date UK June tour.

Chai for All are Knud Stuwe oud composition and guitar, Simon Leach darbuka, percussion, ney, mjwiz, Katie Stevens clarinet, ney, kaval, mjwiz, composition, Marianna Moralis story-teller dance and song, Michael Loader story-teller and writer, David Mowat trumpet, Mark Smulian bass and electronica. Collaborating Palestinian musicians and story givers are Carol Ibrahim story giver, Hatem Hafi story giver, Vivien Sansour story giver, Hassan Muamer story giver, Fares Ishaq ney and composition, Kadher Jaraiseth percussion, Shafuq Alsadi kanun player and composition, Tariq Abu Salamehoud and composition. With special guest singer composer & bağlamaplayer Zaid Hilal joining Chai For All in person.
