tensile 4th install with Pär Grindvik / Adriana Lopez & more... on Saturday 16th December 2017

Our last party of the year at our home, Beaverworks (plenty more there in 2018!)

To celebrate making it this far we have invited from over the sea's and as always locally a selection of 11 acts to see us over the seven hours of fun we have to play with....We're excited to say the least!!

Pär Grindvik:

Pär has been a central figure in the Swedish electronic scene since the 90s having released music across a plethora of acclaimed electronic labels, including a string of hits on his own Stockholm LTD imprint as well as Drumcode, with frequent collaborator Hardcell. Pär’s recent output has seen him contribute music to labels such as Semantica, Marbacka, Sinister and Dystopian.

Founded in 2002, Stockholm LTD began as an outlet for singles and EPs from Swedish artists with a focus on releasing timeless electronic music. It has since developed into a hallmark for finely crafted electronic music from a range of international artists.

Over the past two decades Pär’s involvement with the electronic music community has branched out across the globe. Openly passionate about supporting underground talent, Pär works closely with an ever-expanding repertoire of labels and artists.

As a DJ Pär tours the world, transporting his deft and uniquely dynamic DJ sets to techno fans internationally and on a weekly basis. His worldwide popularity as a performer stems not only from his skill and versatility but also as a result of the energy he puts into every performance. It's this combination that enables him to bring the heat to the best clubs in the world.

Adriana Lopez:

DJ, Producer and Grey Report label owner, Adriana Lopez is one of techno's most prominent artists...
Over the past few years, Bogota born, Barcelona based Adriana Lopez has become one of the defining acts of the Spanish techno scene. Having developed her skills as a DJ back in Colombia where she was raised, Lopez took influence from the early Detroit & UK techno scenes, moving to Spain in 2002 where her work began to make a significant impression. Over 10 years on from her relocation, Lopez is one of Barcelona’s most acclaimed artists, not least for her skills as a DJ but also as a producer and curator of her label, Grey Report. Founded as a platform for her own smoke-laced warehouse jams, Grey Report has grown to feature collaborations with some of Lopez’s closest affiliates, including NX1 and Developer.” - Stray Landings, 2015.
Hailing from Colombia, Adriana Lopez has been involved in techno since the late 1990s and was resident at Bogota's famous CBC Club for 2 years - the first 100% techno club in the country. It was a move to Spain in 2002 which served as the launchpad for her own career as a DJ and her label Grey Report. She has released music on respected labels, notably on Oscar Mulero's Pole Group imprint, Developer's Modularz and Svreca's Semantica.
For over 15 years, Adriana Lopez has played in several countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas including places like Berghain, Tresor and London's Corsica Studios. Using a combination of vinyl and CDJs, Adriana's sets are technically outstanding and explore a wide range of powerful, hypnotic and driving techno. Her sets, combined with her top production ability and her label Grey Report, have pushed her to the forefront of in demand DJ list internationally.

Mark hosts a monthly radio show on kmah radio called WERD. The shows basis is all things Electro, Covering from the roots of the scene to present day releases and features friends and artists who share Mark’s love of all things electro-nic.

Solitude Suite:

A very strong production partnership in the shape of Casual Violence & Siege/CWS. Separately respected as talented artists and live/DJ acts in their own rights.

Duo, Kerrie and Means&3rd.

A stalwart in Leeds providing some of the finest mixes of the finest electronic music and why we have him back….and back again…and again….
Lover of electronic music since, what seems, the dawning of time!
80s Synthpop through to Chicago house, acid house, electro and techno in it's myriad forms.
No clippy-cloppy bobbins techno though.
Spent years being the obligatory 'Bedroom DJ' along with regular visits to the techno mecca 'The Orbit' and other nights, mainly Leeds based, such as 'Superconductor', 'Darkside' & 'Detatched', culminated with a DJ spot at Detatched in 2009 playing a mainly electro/italo-house set in the bar.
What followed then was a monthly resident spot playing techno when supporting artists in the main room or the chance to play electro, house and electro-pop in the bar at Detatched followed by Future-Past and the short-lived Secret Maze, supporting some of the cream of the techno scene including warm-up slots for Claude Young, James Ruskin, Marcel Fengler, Shed, Peter van Hoesen, Joey Beltram, Octave One, Truss/MPIA3, Detroit Techno Militia, Forward Strategy Group, 65d Mavericks, Subjected and Xhin amongst others. That was supplemented by appearing on the same bill as many other DJs and artists including Hardfloor, CJ Bolland, Woody McBride, Alan Oldham, Rolando, Derrick May, DJ Bone, Reeko, Exium, Sandwell District, Grovskopa, Ancient Methods, Inigo Kennedy, Bas Mooy, Damon Wild, Takaaki Itoh and Go Hiyama.

Ben Woollard:

Elon Thun:

No much known other than hailing from Birmingham, a debut set from Elon promises to be an interesting one!

Since 1998 Mallory has been exploring the world of dark basements, naughty basslines and formidable 4am groove, always been in pursuit of the unknown, the edge and the beats that do not quite fit with the norm, Now it’s 2017, the here and now, current projects are….Horror Brawl: Techno bass assault with main man & partner in crime John Bushby, expect dark kick drums and heavy basslines, Futuremusic: Digital radio station going from strength to strength, Mallory is deeply involved in all aspects of the station as it moves forward and Death Bunker, New label venture dropping early next year with Techno & Electro on the menu.

The Scarborough based DJ PHEZ has been happily lost in electronic music for years with a major love for electro and techno. All of it proper, always and sourced from the best record shops, producers and djs around.
His time has been well spent honing the craft of djing, always determined to push things a little further than before and go hard on the mixer. This determination has led to a variety of gigs taking in clubs and festivals, including Beat-Herder festival, a residency at the local arts festival, Coastival and Pure Techno.
