Morecambe Poetry Festival 2022 on Friday 16th - Sunday 18th September 2022
iconic Winter Gardens on Morecambe Prom, with an Alt Stage in adjacent Johnnie’s.
and publishers from mainstream to back-room indies and everything in between.
Prepare yourselves for a 3-day extravaganza, including the Morecambe Poetry Marathon, where you
can experience 24 hours non-stop poetry!
Morecambe was designed and built for entertainment, and like every Victorian seaside town it has
pitched between mainstream pomp and glamour, and counterculture with its rave scene and
festivals. There’s something in the water here, the joy of art and expression has carried it through
and we want to share it with you.
This festival will stake its claim as one of the most exciting cultural events in the country. Where
poets can meet the people to advance their careers, publishers can meet the people who are setting
the stage and page on fire, and the public can see how exciting, vibrant and alive the poetry and
spoken word scene is in the UK.
