Ode to Joy Westmorland Orchestra and Cumbria Festival Chorus on Saturday 11th March 2023
A full orchestra and chorus conducted by Richard Howarth will perform Beethoven's masterpiece, Symphony No. 9, 'Choral' with internationally renowned soloists. Also on the programme is Beethoven's Leonore Overture 3 and Bruckner's Os Justi Motet for unaccompanied choir. The concert will feature the Cumbria Festival Chorus under the direction of Chorus Master Ian Jones as well as the Westmorland Orchestra. Soloists for Beethoven's Ninth will be: Sarah Fox - soprano, Kathryn Rudge - mezzo soprano, Andrew Tortise - tenor and Samuel Snowden - bass baritone.
