A whole world of song - Singing Safari & Columbines trio concert on Saturday 24th November 2018
For the seventh year running, Chris Rowbury has taken 30 Ipswich singers on an imaginary Singing Safari. They have gathered songs from all over the world and are now ready to share them.
The group have been working hard to polish songs from Africa, Europe, the USA, New Zealand, Ireland and the UK. They will perform them at St. Peter’s by the Waterfront, College Street, IP1 1XFIpswich on Saturday 24 November.
For the first time, the Columbines folk trio will join the Singing Safari group in concert. The Columbines are recognised for their striking use of close harmony singing.
This will be a concert of exquisite and enchanting harmony singing. Singing to stir the soul, warm the heart, and revive the spirits on a cold autumn night. All in glorious harmony. Tickets are now on sale.
“I enjoyed every minute of our rehearsals and the performance. I wouldn't have missed it for anything. It is hard to explain to people how one person can get an eclectic mix of people singing beautiful music in next to no time!” Singing Safari member
The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £8 (£3 under 16s). Buy on-line at chrisrowbury.com or by phoning Chris on 01394 610 486. Some tickets will be available on the door.
