“What These Lungs Are For” is an exhibition of prints and performance work by artist/musician Jayne Dent.

“What These Lungs Are For” is an exhibition of prints and performance work by artist/musician Jayne Dent.

The work explores the voice and it’s potential as a tool of artistic, personal and political expression, and takes the form of a series of mono prints which act as graphic scores for a responsive electronic vocal performance piece.

The opening will run from 6pm - 9pm and the exhibition will be up for the rest of the event programme. There will be a performance on the opening night, which will be re performed on the 16th of June.


\\A FESTIVAL OF THE VOICE///////////

As part of the exhibition, Jayne will also be curating a series of workshops, talks and performances from guest artists, as well as leading workshops herself. These events are all to do with the voice; experimenting, playing, listening and using it as an expressive tool! All the workshops/performances are FREE!
